My therapeutic training takes the soul, rather than the mind as its starting point. The modalities that inspire my work and hold my practice rooted within a clear ethical framework are: Person-Centred, Ecotherapy and Transpersonal. Pioneers of these modalities are Carl Rogers, Abraham Maslow, Carl Jung, Stanislav Grof, Joanna Macy and Bill Plotkins among many other well-known practitioners.
Person-Centred therapy

At its heart, Person-Centred therapy is about creating an environment where you can explore your inner landscape. Free from judgments in a supportive and safe environment. You’ll be encouraged to delve into your thoughts and feelings, at a pace that is supportive of you as an individual. You will be given genuine empathy, a chance to be deeply heard and accepted as you are. While being offered ways to grow an increasing understanding of your true nature and potential.

Ecotherapy
My aim is to bring you closer to nature and with this, yourself. With creative practices like earth mandalas and leaf drawing to connect more deeply with your unconscious mind. Or mindful walking exercises to connect more with your body’s felt senses. Nature has something to offer us all. The therapy room is heated with a log fire and the electricity is created by the sun. The working space overlooks a small lake, with ample opportunity to connect with the natural world. I also like to bring nature into my online sessions with mindfulness techniques and meditation practices to engage the senses.
Working in the Transpersonal
I describe it as pulling back the veil or veils to uncover the truth of who you are, and what is important to you. To make that which is unconscious, conscious, through deeply listening to your whole being. We might explore your relationship to spirit, spiritual experience and higher states of consciousness. I aim to create a safe container to integrate these aspects of your lived experience.

When we work together, what you can expect?
A safe and loving space for you to explore your whole self. Free from judgments, expectations and criticism. I will ask you what you feel you need from working together. If you have any goals or anything you want to bring into the space. We might discuss aspects of your past including your childhood, family history or any major life events. However, I primarily work to support you with your present day thoughts and feelings. Therapy can be for a fixed time frame or open ended. This does not need to be decided straight away. My goal is to hold space for you to unravel the complexities of your human or other worldly experiences at a pace that suits your needs.
I offer a free 20-minute phone consultation — a no-obligation opportunity to explore how I may be able to support you.
